Identify prospects utilizing lead sourcing tools, web search engines, personal networking, industry publications, etc.

Utilize research skills to prepare for sales calls and identify decision makers

Cold call leads, follow up with prospects, schedule meetings in person or virtually

Identify prospect needs and educate/persuade prospects to utilize ORT’s service offerings, including Ocean and Air Export, Ocean and Air Import, Trucking FTL/LTL, Customs Brokerage, Cargo Shipper’s Interest Insurance, Project Cargo, and Warehousing needs

Research and understand market trends, industry standards, and localized environments to provide accurate quotes/pricing

Maintain and develop relationships with prospect and existing customer accounts

Collaborate with operations and capacity teams to ensure complete load visibility and excellent customer service

Submit call and pipeline reports

Possess a sense of urgency in all matters, especially concerning problem resolution and prevention

Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills
-
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment

Approximately 2-3 years of experience in air freight and ocean freight forwarding environment

Knowledge of international air and ocean export/ import operations procedures

Excellent customer service, problem-solving, computer, organization, and communication skills

Understanding of export Customs, SOPs, compliance, and TSA regulations
