A night to remember…
On Friday evening, June 21st, 2024, OpenRoad went above and beyond to celebrate our 20th Anniversary in style by hosting an elegant gala at the Salem Convention Center in Salem, Oregon.
There were many laughs, a few tears, and a lot of heartfelt words expressed, as both seasoned and newly hired team members shared their stories of what working for OpenRoad has meant to them and their families. It truly was a special time together.
As owner, Liz Weisensee, reminded us that evening, this night was about “you and celebrating all that we’ve achieved together.”
While there were moments of sentiment and meaningful toasts, our people also know how to have a good time! We captured fun memories in a 360-photo booth, took hundreds of selfies, had the opportunity to win some highly sought after raffle prizes, and enjoyed a trivia game that tested our knowledge as logistics experts. To top off our unforgettable evening, we debuted a hilarious “Office” parody video, called “Life at a Logistics Company,” poking fun at some of own very own intra-office “quirks”.
It meant the world to us, as a company, that our people wanted to celebrate this moment and made the trip to Oregon to do so. As owner, Mark Weisensee said that evening, “It feels like just yesterday we were starting this journey, and seeing just how far we’ve come with all of you here tonight feels quite surreal. The presence and energy of friends, co-workers, and family made all the difference in making our 20th Anniversary Gala an unforgettable event.
We are humbled by such an incredible team who have cared about OpenRoad’s success over the last 20 years, and who want to set a standard of excellence for many more years to come!
