On Monday, June 3rd, OpenRoad celebrated a significant milestone – our 20th Anniversary.
We’ve shared a lot about this meaningful moment over the last few months- both in anticipation and in reflection. In 2024 alone we’ve undergone a rebrand, bringing us into a more modern and mature version of ourselves, while expanding into a newly built HQ office building that was a dream in the making. As owners, Mark & Liz Weisensee reflected on these big moves in a company-wide letter, by sharing their immense gratitude and pride for the journey the company has undertaken over the last 20 years. Not only was their vision to create an outstanding logistics company, but to also set a new standard for taking care of people. This vision has remained steadfast over the years, even as OpenRoad has grown and evolved into the global logistics company it is today.
When we look back at our 20 years of logistics excellence, we can’t help but appreciate the incredible journey we’ve had. One that couldn’t have been done without the support, trust and relentless commitment to improvement and hard work that all our employees choose to demonstrate every day. Each person has been a cornerstone in OpenRoad’s success, transforming dreams into reality, to build something truly remarkable. We are also grateful for the many customers and carriers who have worked alongside us in this journey to become the reputable 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) company we are today. Our relationships with them, and the trust they have in us to take care of their freight every step of the way, is an essential piece to our milestone.
As our relationships have grown, so have our service offerings. In the past 20 years, we’ve grown from a truckload transportation brokerage, to a global, multi-modal, 3PL with employees in 23 states and serving over 70 different countries; working with small businesses and Fortune 500 companies alike. In light of our growth, we’ve been honored to make the Inc. 5000 list four years in a row as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
While we take pride in our achievements, we are also hungry for more and eager to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.
Looking toward the 21st year and beyond, our team is filled with excitement, anticipation and purpose.
